As outlined in Section 3:02 of the York Region District School Board Operational By-Laws, the Budget Committee, at the direction of the Chair’s Committee, Coordinating Council of Superintendents, or the Board, may make recommendations to the Board on the following topics;

1. annual estimates,
2. budget priorities,
3. budget forecasting, and
4. non-budgeted expenditures.

Budget Committee meetings are open to the public and are held three to five times per year between February and June, usually on a Thursday at the Education Centre – Aurora. Beginning January, 2012, Budget Committee meetings will be scheduled, as needed, on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
