Wells Street PS Accommodation Review

In accordance with Board Policy #463 - Student Accommodation Review, an Accommodation Review Committee (ARC) has been formed to study, report and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on accommodation options related to Wells Street PS in Aurora. This school has been identified as a location where there may be a need to consider possible consolidation or closure based on the need for major capital improvements, safety concerns to the building and declining student enrolment.

The ARC consists of at least one or more Board Trustees, Board staff, school Principal, school teacher, parents, a business community representative, and a municipal government representative. The ARC process is outlined by the Ministry of Education and sets out timelines between stages in the process. The Board of Trustees will make a decision regarding Wells Street PS on September 24, 2009 in regular Board meeting.
