The Mission of Our School
The Mission of the York Region District School Board is that "we unite in our purpose to inspire and prepare learners for life in our changing world community."

In order to support the Board's mission, the mission of Coledale P.S. is to foster high standards of academic excellence grounded in development of responsible and respectful citizens dedicated to making positive contributions to society.

Coledale P.S. is named after Coledale Road where it is located.

Our school mascot is the cougar, a fast and strong animal.

Coledale P.S. was officially opened in 1988. It is located in the Town of Markham. The school attendance borders are 16th Avenue to the north, Highway 7 to the south, Rodick Road to the west and Warden Avenue to the east.

A child-care centre, Coledale Jr. Y, owned and operated by Y.M.C.A. of Greater Toronto is located at Coledale P.S.

The York Region District School Board has a transportation policy that applies to all of its schools.
