The Mission of Our School The Mission of the York Region District School Board is that "we unite in our purpose to inspire and prepare learners for life in our changing world community."
History Maple Creek P.S. is named after the branch of the Don River on our eastern boundary. Maple Creek Public School is located on the original lands used by the Maple Flying Club. In 1954 two of the first Canadian female pilots, Marianne Orr and Sally Wagner, flew out of the Maple Flying Club. By 1958 the Maple Flying Club evolved into a commercial airport with private commercial carriers flying out of Maple. The airport was for some time considered the third busiest civilian airport in Canada.
Our school motto is "Hand In Hand We Learn Together".
