School Council

School Councils play a fundamental role across the York Region District School Board in ensuring student success.

At Crosby Heights we are very fortunate to have a School Council whose members are very actively involved in supporting student achievement. The School Council works in collaboration with administration and staff to develop the school vision and many of the school's procedures. For example, School Council actively participated in the development of the School Plan for Continuous Improvement, the Principal Profile and the School Profile.

Crosby Heights School Council is very supportive of staff and recognizes the contribution of staff such as Grade Partner Meetings with such initiatives as Staff Appreciation Lunches and Appreciation Vouchers. In addition Crosby Heights benefits immensely from many volunteer hours donated by School Council members and other volunteers. We are fortunate to have many volunteers and we encourage more.

School Council meets on a monthly basis. Parents and community members are always welcome to attend the monthly meetings, to join one of the committees or sub-committees, or to send comments and suggestions at anytime. For more information regarding our Crosby Heights P.S.'s School Council, contact us at (905) 884-5281.
