The Mission of Our School The Mission of the York Region District School Board is that "we unite in our purpose to inspire and prepare learners for life in our changing world community."
The mission of Bayview S.S. is: "We work collaboratively in our purpose to prepare students to be productive, responsible, life-long learners in an ever-changing, global society."
History Bayview S.S. is named after the street that it is located on, Bayview Avenue. Bayview Secondary School is located on a fifteen-acre site formerly a part of the Elliot farm. Classes commenced on November 14, 1960.
Our school motto is: "Friends Learning Together".
Our school mascot is: "Bengal Tiger".
Facilities Bayview S.S. was officially opened in 1960. Additions were placed on the original school in 1962/65. Since that time renovations have been made to facilitate program and student needs as well as an outdoor improvement plan known as "Beautifying Bayview".
