The York Region District School Board is accepting online permit requests for the 2013-2014 school year. A separate application is required for each permit request and we are no longer accepting paper applications. Please note that all permit applications are due on or before January 31, 2013.
Summer permits will commence on or about the second week of July, 2013 and end on or about the second last week in August, 2013. Fall permits will start on or about the second week in September, 2013 and end on or about mid-June 2014. On the left hand menu, you will find links to the permit request form, rates, the Policy and Procedure, and the opportunity to submit applications online.
We are required to report to the Ministry of Education more detailed statistics on the type of usage, number of participants and spectators. Please fill in this mandatory information where indicated on the application form.
Once your permit has been completely processed, you will be notified of your location and the expected rental cost. If your account has a balance of $540 or less, the total is payable in full prior to the start date of the permit. Otherwise, arrangements may be made for post-dated monthly payments or by three instalments dated September 15, 2013, December 15, 2013 and March 15, 2014. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, Interac, cheque or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/American Express). Effective September, 2013, the fees will increase by 1.2%.
The Board believes that all learners, leaders and community members have a shared responsibility for minimizing their effect on the environment and taking an active role in protecting it. As permit-holders and users of our facilities, we encourage you to support these efforts and work with us to reduce and divert waste, and to reduce energy and water use in our schools.
