Talking Opportunities is a resource that has been created for parents of students in Grades 6 through 12. It provides parents with strategies to support their sons and daughters with their Pathway planning at key transition stages throughout their educational journey.
The presentation focuses on the interconnection and importance of students becoming self aware and participating in authentic and experiential learning opportunities in identifying potential career options. Information is presented on each post secondary destination with a focus on the skilled trades. The PowerPoint is intended to help parents become aware of the vast number of opportunities available to their children and the numerous pathways that lead to these destinations.

Regional Course Directory –This course directory will help you plan for your secondary school program and post-secondary destination. It contains descriptions of the courses that are available to you for the upcoming school year. The Regional Course Directory can be found on most secondary school websites and on Career Cruising.
Career Cruising – Career Cruising is an interactive career resource. Career Cruising allows each student to explore different career options, plan post-secondary education and training, and select current and future courses to meet the Ontario Secondary School Diploma requirements. Students are encouraged to manage, monitor and plan for their future using the individual portfolio option.
