Talking Opportunities is a resource that has been created for parents of students in Grades 6 through 12. It provides parents with strategies to support their sons and daughters with their Pathway planning at key transition stages throughout their educational journey.
The presentation focuses on the interconnection and importance of students becoming self aware and participating in authentic and experiential learning opportunities in identifying potential career options. Information is presented on each post secondary destination with a focus on the skilled trades. The PowerPoint is intended to help parents become aware of the vast number of opportunities available to their children and the numerous pathways that lead to these destinations.
