The York Region District School Board is committed to parent, family and community engagement, and it is our hope that by providing this tool on our website that we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English and thereby enabling better engagement in public education.

This document has been designed to assist students who are applying to university for the first time this school year, after the January deadline.
To be eligible for equal consideration for early admission, OUAC requires students to submit all university and program changes, as well as any additional choices by the posted date. It is never "too late", however, to apply to an Ontario university.
If you are a current secondary school student WITH an OUAC password
- obtain your access codes from your Guidance Counsellor
- apply online using the OUAC 101 Secondary School Online Application (SSOLA) called COMPASS 101
- ask your Guidance Counsellor to "initiate a SSOLA record" for you. This will generate the appropriate access codes for you to apply online and ensure that OUAC receives your mark history (transcript), your current interim courses and marks, and your final marks at the end of the school year.
- apply online using the OUAC 101 Secondary School Online Application (SSOLA) called COMPASS 101
- at any time, you may apply online using the OUAC 105
process. - you will need a copy of your high school transcript.
- In early April, Universities may start to offer early conditional admission to high achieving students.
- From mid-June to the end of August, OUAC manages a late Admission Information - Referral Service to help you to try to find a university program that is still accepting late applications.
- You can search the late Admission Information - Referral Service
by University and/or Category (program) based on your average. - Please refer to the Admission Guidelines and Programs of Study Chart in INFO to see how a university calculates the admission average for a specific program
