What:

York Region Sci-Tech Fair

The York Region Sci-Tech Fair is an opportunity for Grade 7-12 students to showcase their scientific research and meet other young scientists. There are 76 projects entered in the fair this year. Students will compete in the categories of Life Sciences; Health Sciences; Biotechnology; Engineering and Computing Sciences; Physical and Mathematical Sciences; and Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Gold medal winners are invited to compete at the Canada Wide Science Fair in Charlottetown, PEI in May.

When:

Saturday, April 14th 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Best photo opportunities available between 2:30pm -3:30 pm: Public Viewing
  3:30 pm- 4:00pm: Awards and Recognition Ceremony

Why:

To celebrate the achievements of young scientists in York Region while encouraging students to explore different fields in science.

Who:

York Region District School Board and York Catholic District School students; independent school students; organized by the York Region Sci-Tech Fair Committee.
