CAYRE (Community Alliance for York Region Education) is a community based registered charitable organization in York Region.
CAYRE's mission is to provide opportunities and advantages that enhance development and learning for children in the Region of York.
CAYRE's key areas of focus are early literacy, at-risk communities, overcoming impediments/barriers to learning, providing leadership to community initiatives, promoting community involvement, and collaboration.
CAYRE raises funds through charitable contributions from individuals, corporations, businesses, foundations and government grants. Programs are developed by the volunteer Board of Directors and managed by project coordinators who take the initiatives to the neighbourhood schools and the community.
