The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires all publicly funded organizations to examine themselves annually to ensure that they are progressing in their efforts to become more accessible to persons with disabilities. Under the Act, school boards are required to file annual accessibility plans that “…address the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to persons with disabilities in the bylaws and in its policies, programs, practices and services.” The AODA committee welcomes input into the development and implementation of activities that will promote accessibility for all our stakeholders.
