The York Region District School Board believes that a healthy school and workplace climate has a positive impact on overall well-being and is essential for students and employees to reach their full potential. The Healthy Schools and Workplaces approach provides school community members with the framework, resources and opportunities to implement YRDSB’s Board policy and create a positive learning and working environment.

YRDSB’s Healthy Schools and Workplaces program is one of the first such school board policies in the province to include workplaces and not just students. The program involves a collaborative approach, bringing parents, students, staff and community partners together to strive for healthy lifestyles.
