The Ontario College of Teachers has granted provider status to the York Region District School Board to provide the following Additional Qualification Courses:

• English as a Second Language Parts 1 and Part 2;
• Special Education Parts 1 and Part 2;
• Special Education: Communication - Autism
• Reading Parts 1 and 2
• Mathematics Part 1
• Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction - Parts 1 and 2.

Cost for each Additional Qualification course is $900.00. For teachers employed by the York Region District School Board, Curriculum and Instructional Services is providing a subsidy of $400 per teacher so that the cost will be $500 per course for Board employees. Teachers interested in this professional development opportunity are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as space is limited. Please note that all courses require a minimum enrolment in order to proceed.

Registration is a two part process:

• Interested participants must complete the specific registration package for the chosen course (linked in the schedule below) and send by mail or courier to Samantha Davies at the Centre for Leadership and Learning, 300 Harry Walker Parkway, Newmarket, Ont.
• as well as register through Connect2Learn for credit card payments.
