The following courses will be offered at our school. When selecting courses, please note the grade level and destination of each course, and pay special attention to the prerequisite or recommended background. Also, note any materials and equipment fees charged.
Students should refer to the York Region District School Board Course Directory at www.yrdsb.edu.on.ca for general information concerning the Ontario Secondary School curriculum and specifically the academic programs available in York Region schools. Additional course information and flow charts to show the progression from one grade to another, by subject, are in both the Board directory and the following online course calendar.
It is very important that all students make careful, wise choices during the course selection process. Individual courses are scheduled for a given year, based on the number of students who request the particular course. Courses will only be scheduled if enrolment and timetable structure permits. Only courses that generate sufficient enrollment in February will be scheduled. Once classes begin, course changes are processed only in exceptional situations and based on availability. The school provides information about individual subjects and can give advice on the selection of courses. Contact the Guidance Services Department for an appointment.
Students should continue to update their Annual Education Plan to assist with their decisions. By referring to their credit counseling summary and using the program planner, student can select courses to meet graduation requirements and achieve their educational goals.

Grade 9 - 8 credits Grade 10 -8 credits Grade 11 - 8 credits Grade 12 - minimum 6 credits, 3 each semester
