Course Selection Instructions - READ FIRST!
Dr. G. W. WILLIAMS S.S. COURSE SELECTION LIST FOR 2009-2010
The following courses are offered at Dr. G. W. Williams S. S. The list includes the course code, course name, destination and course fees or materials. Students must refer to the York Region District School Board Course Calendar for the course descriptions and pre-requisites. It is very important that students in consultation with their parents/guardians and teachers make careful, wise choices during the course selection process to ensure availability. Courses will be scheduled based on the number of students who request them, some courses may be cancelled due to a low number of student requests so please remember to pick alternatives.
Once classes begin in September, course transfers and changes are considered only in extraordinary circumstances and where space permits. Students should continue to update their Annual Education Plan to assist with their decisions. The students at Dr. G. W. Williams S.S., need to enrol in a full course load and are expected to take the following minimum number of credits.
Grade 9 - 8 credits Grade 10 - 8 credits Grade 11 - 8 credits Grade 12 - 6 to 8 credits
